These leading institutions offer a variety of degrees and programs, supplying 13,500+ highly skilled graduates annually, to an already robust job base. Some of the notable colleges and universities located throughout Savannah are: Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD), Savannah Technical College, Georgia Southern University (in the process of combining with Armstrong State University).

Savannah’s charming riverfront Historic District, the largest landmark historic district in the nation, attracts visitors from all over the country. Savannah has an estimated 14.1 million visitors per year, with room tax revenue from overnight visitors climbing to a record high of $25.5 million. Leisure and hospitality employment represent about 14% of the workforce in the Savannah MSA.
